I grew up on the waters and mountains of Mount Desert Island, Maine; worked for the Department of Fish & Game in Juneau, Alaska; co-owned a yacht maintenance business in Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands, and after miscellaneous jobs and businesses, finally came to rest in Carroll County, Maryland where I have spent time raising my second family, performing extensive volunteering at the local elementary school, and finally finishing my degree.
I love the outdoors and am an avid gardener. I especially like to spy on insects and capture their fascinating lifecycle with my camera. When I have time, I am a photographic contributor to the Maryland Biodiversity Project.
As a web developer I love making websites that are user-friendly, meet current guidelines, and include microanimation. I also enjoy the challenge of creating content that enhances the message. Ultimately, I'd like a career in UX/UI design where I can blend my people and tech skills to create an optimized, user-friendly product.
